Suzanne is an international business development, sales and marketing expert. She has helped over 700 companies establish enter 60 new countries in North and Latin America, Africa and Europe. Suzanne specialises in setting up internal structures of a company to export and increase sales. She is a frequent public speaker in international trade and exporting conferences, and a regular at seminars.

Jonathan Diaz

Director of the SEM Regime

Jonathan has a varied background in law, translation and business. He obtained a Law Degree and Diplomas in Finance and Translation from Universidad Latina, and subsequently a Masters in Management from Tulane. He worked in several firms as a translator and legal advisor. Additionally, he has worked in project coordination and operations management. Currently, Jonathan is the Director of the Multinational Headquarters Regime at the Ministry of Trade and Industries.

Kelly Tinkler

Partner at SGH Martineau

Kelly has had almost two decades of experience in business dispute resolution cases. His focus is on international cases involving multinational companies, in areas such as banking, shareholder disputes, fraud and money laundering. In his rich experience, he has excelled in cases involving financial services and regulatory issues. One of his most notable cases has been an anti-trust arbitration with the ICC for a recovery of $82 million for Disney and Sony.

Domingo Latorraca

Managing Partner at Deloitte

With over 25 years in the financial services sector, Domingo Latorraca is a specialist in developing financial models, risk analysis, market research and valuation. He was previously the Deputy Minister of the Economy, where he took part in draftin the national budget and economic policy. He has also been a Director at PWC and of Panama's Sovereign Fund. Currently, he is the Managing Partner at the Deloitte Panama office.

Ana Margarita Reyes

Coordinator of the Logistics Cabinet in the Ministry of the Presidency in Panama

Ana Margarita has a strong background in business administration and logistics. She previously used to work at the Panama Canal Authority as a Programme Analyst, and was then appointed the Coordinator of the Logistics Cabinet. In her new role she is responsible for overseeing the development of a national logistics policy, and engaging with both public and private stakeholders, as well as international figures related to maritime and logistics activities.

Silvia de Marucci

Executive Manager of Economic Analysis & Market Research at the Panama Canal Authority

A specialist in market research, Silvia de Marucci has had rich experience in business settings. She was an Operations Coordinator at Samsung, where she identified business opportunities in the Latin American region. Silvia was then appointed Economic Advisor at the Japanese Embassy in Panama to promote trade and economic cooperation between both countries. Now at the Panama Canal Authority, Silvia heads the Market Research and Analysis Division, where she is responsible for developing market projections and competitive analysis.

Alberto Aleman

Director of PROINVEX

Alberto started his career as a Political Counsellor in the Permanent Mission of Panama to the United Nations. He worked on a number of areas including Economic and Financial affairs, and multilateral processes. Alberto then moved to the Business Development Manager role at London & Regional, the masterplanners of the Panama Pacifico Special Economic Area, where he focussed on attracting foreign direct investment. Currently, Alberto is the Director of PROINVEX, Panama's trade promotion agency, where he continues the work of attracting foreign investment here

Jorge Garcia

Chairman of the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

Jorge Garcia was elected Chairman of Panama's oldest and largest business association in 2016. He brings with him a long history of activity in the private sector, in industries such as petroleum, real estate, tourism and health. He has been active in the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce since 1995, leading sectoral committees, and serving as Vice-Chairman prior to his current role.

Surse Pierpoint

General Manager of the Colon Free Trade Zone

A veteran of the Colon Free Zone, Surse has contributed greatly to its growth since the early 1990s both as General Manager of Colon Import Export and a Director on the Colon Free Zone Users Association Board. In 2014 Surse was appointed as the General Manager of the Colon Free Zone by the President of Panama. One of his major tasks include revitalising trade within the Free Zone, and connect commerce between it and the city of Colon.

Supply Chain Manager for Latin America at Aggreko

Vladimir's career has been built around logistics and supply chain management. He has been with Aggreko over the past 7 years working with the Supply Chain side of the business, and recently took on responsibilities of administering the hub based out of Panama. He is responsible for the purchasing, storage and logistical activities related to the regional business of the company.

Michael Cullen

General Manager at Control Risks Bogota

Michael has a long history in the security and risk management sector. Prior to his entry to the firm Control Risks, he was a litigation attorney in Australia, and has qualifications in Law, Economics, International Relations and Fraud Investigations & Preventions. He also holds qualifications in Risk Management. Michael has been with Control Risks since 2000, working around the world in numerous cases involving fraud, forensics, due-diligence, terrorism, money laundering, corruption, and many others. He was also a key security and risks consultant for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Michael is currently the General Manager of the Bogota office and is responsible for operations and development for the company in the region.

Ricardo Fernandez

Superintendent of Banks of Panama

Superintendent Fernandez has more than 30 years of experience in the finance sector, working in areas such as marketing, corporate credit, product management, and corporate relations. He has specialised in product management and building relationships with clients. Ricardo worked in The Chase Manhattan Bank where he worked in external trade and shipping, and then moved to Citibank where he led the development of the bank's maritime business in Panama. Currently, he is the Superintendent of Banks, a role in which he supervises the different banks in Panama, and makes sure they comply with rules and regulations.

Terry McCoy

Former General Manager of Scotiabank

Terry's 34- year banking career has been spent with Scotiabank around the world. He started out in Asia, and then moved to manage branches in the Caribbean. His last assignment with the bank was in Panama in 1997, from where he helped grow the regional presence of Scotiabank in the region. Currently, Terry has retired from Scotiabank, but is still active as an independent financial adviser.
